It took me a little while in my adult life to learn that it’s never up to someone else to make sure I have a good day.
No one else is going to wake up and decide that for me. That is on me.
Sure, I still stumble from time to time and just want things to work out well or for someone to take the reins for a bit but that is a fallacy on my part.
So with that knowledge, I regularly wake up, get myself ready for work, get in the car and appreciate the gorgeous landscape that I get to experience on my commute. During this drive I remind myself that I get to decide that today is a good day to have a good day, and then I carry that thought through my day.
So today’s lesson is – if you want it to be, today is a bloody good day to have a good day.
