It’s rarely an external force that causes us to act, rather our perception of that force.
So if we focus our attention on that perception, we can change the acts.
Why did something anger us?
Was it the thing, or was it the perception of the thing?
It’s the perception isn’t it?
That’s good – we’re in complete control of that.
This doesn’t mean that we don’t feel the emotions when they come, it just means we get to choose what we do when it happens.
