The mountain

“When you have questions, the mountain usually has the answers.”

I wrote the above this week while spending some time on my local mountain after struggling with some minor decisions.

They were nothing major but sometimes when I don’t get them out of my head, they continue to swirl and become bigger than they really are.

I knew I needed a circuit breaker so I headed off to the trail and just walked for an hour; no music, no distractions, no plan other than being present.

Presence doesn’t take long in nature, and once I’m present, I can bring my focus in to one thought at a time easier.

This presence paired with physical movement is like a super fuel for the mind, well at least mine anyway.

And that’s when the good stuff comes.
