Your job is not to save your children from struggle, it’s to give them a space to struggle in relative safety.
By trying to protect them you inadvertently have the opposite effect.
Struggle, hurt, and failure don’t belong solely in the bad category – they exist in the good as well.
They are necessary for a successful life.
