“Don’t forget to celebrate your wins.”
This is something that I am terrible at so I wrote myself this reminder in my journal last week.
I was watching a video of myself hitting a lift that I hadn’t hit for quite some time, a lift that I wanted badly again, and after successfully completing the lift I kind of just turned, took my belt off, and came to watch the video. No emotion, no smile…nothing.
I know I was pumped to hit it. But for some reason I didn’t celebrate.
I’m not sure if it’s because I am so hard on myself that I don’t give myself the time or space to celebrate even though I know that enjoying success is an important part of the journey.
If I don’t celebrate the wins on my journey and take a moment to enjoy them, then what is the point of continually striving. Nothing will ever be good enough.
This is a trap that humans fall into often. Always looking to the next and forgoing the magic of the present moment.
I’m going to work harder on enjoying the little wins in the moments that they arise.

What time is it? Now
What are you? This moment.”
