“The hard work makes a little more sense when I keep ‘Pound the Stone’ front of mind.”
In front of us all stands a mighty stone. Rugged and untouched, it beckons to us, a blank canvas for creating.
Underneath that exterior is the statue of our lives. A statue created by our strikes. Every thought and action, good and bad, that we take is another strike of the stone and every single strike decides who we become. This is why it’s so important to be aware of our strikes. We can’t hide from them and we can’t take them back after they have connected. If we don’t like the strikes we are swinging, we need to change them before they build up, as one day we will stand atop this statue, plant our flag and say
“This is me, this is who I am”.
This will not be an easy or quick task. It will be years upon years of hard and dedicated work.
Are you willing to do the work?
Are you willing to create a statue that you are proud of?
You are in control of your hammer. Swing away.
When I write about and tag ‘Pound the Stone’ in my entries and social media posts, this is what it means to me. It’s my North Star, my reminder to stay on track.
Do you have something that helps to keep you on track?
