Competition

It brings a certain fire out.

A fight inside.

I love and crave it.

I can tell when I haven’t competed in a while because I yearn for the feeling.

The feeling of butterflies and excitement.

The anxiety and the pressure.

The noise in the crowd.

There’s not much that excites me more than being in the cauldron of competition.

Learning what I am really capable of when I strip back the layers of expectation and thoughts and just go.

I wrote the above at my last competition, about a week before the world turned upside down.

It might be a while before I get to experience this feeling again but even the thought of it brings a smile to my face.

If you compete in anything, you know, and if you don’t, I hope one day you get to feel these feelings. Actually I highly recommend that you do. In anything that excites you.

There’s so much to be learned in the arena of competition and it has a huge carry over to the kind of situations we find ourselves in today.

Pursue your potential
