The Inspired Lion “Lockdown Strong” tee has been designed.
I came up with the idea for this shirt while working out in my garage a few weeks ago. I was thinking about all of the awesome videos and photos I’d been seeing of all the warriors out there finding a way to keep up their physical and mental fitness activities by any means necessary. Though this isn’t just about fitness, it’s about everyone. Everyone who’s trying to make a challenging situation work for them.
I wanted to design something that really represented the strength of character that it takes to continue to get after it no matter what is being thrown at you.
This is the culmination of that thought train from my mind.
The logo incorporates an Ensō circle that represents the expression of a moment when the mind is free to let the body create. It also represents the beauty of imperfection and the art of letting go of expectations. This is how I see people finding any way they can to continue their pursuits. It’s not going to be perfect and our expectations are useless but we can certainly use our bodies to create through movement.
The logo also incorporates a rope pulled tight with a knot at each end. This symbolises keeping the rope tight with no slack. This one is simple. Keep getting after it. This isn’t a time to slacken off. This is what you have been training for. These are the moments that all the mental and physical skills you have developed over the years get a further chance to shine.
The times are tough.
We will survive by choosing strength in the dark moments.
We will survive by doing what’s needed instead of what’s easy.
We will survive by keeping the rope tight.
