Pursue your potential!
Our motto.
It took us a long time and a few iterations to settle on one that would actually stick. Finally, we found the right one…or maybe it found us?
It had to have a deep meaning for myself, and hopefully for anyone who joins our community, so it had to incorporate the philosophy of one of my favorite words – Areté, a Greek word meaning a multitude of things but one of them being “The act of living up to one’s potential”.
It had to be pleasing to the ears and I really wanted it to inspire action. Knowledge is everywhere in this world, right at our very fingertips constantly, but action……action is a struggle. Turning the things that we know we should do into purposeful action is where we stumble.
That’s my mission.
I’ve tried to squash that sentence down a few times at the risk of sounding arrogant. Who am I to take on that mission? I am far from perfect and I am just figuring it out day by day. But I can’t help it, I can’t turn it off. I’ve tried to let Inspired Lion go over the years, even been deep into the process of shutting down all the accounts on more than one occasion, but there is this undeniable energy in my soul to try to create this content. I wake up every morning wondering how I can do something that might inspire someone’s pursuit and I am grateful to live in a world where I can share a message so easily.
So… I guess all I’m trying to say is that this all means a bloody lot to me and I hope that passion comes across in my content and our motto. I’m deep in the trenches of my pursuit and I hope to see as many of you down in here too when you’re ready.
What can you do? Obviously a like or a share helps a lot but I’m not doing this for that, all I crave is that if something you see here, on the socials, or in person sparks a little thought inside of you, that you don’t waste it. That you don’t push it down in haste for another thing. That you act on that spark, even in the smallest way.
