Dice’s Corner –
Hey Hey everyone,
What a big week we have had! Some of you may know but for those that don’t, we held the first ever Pride Active Midnight to Dawn Service Hike on Anzac Day.

We planned a 21km hike starting at midnight and with some of us wearing heavy packs and weight vests, hiked our way around Millmerran finishing in time for our local Dawn Service which is always a great one, all whilst raising money for Soldier On and doing our part to show the respect and admiration we have for all of our brave soldiers past and present. It was also a way for us to gain a new perspective at the dawn service which made the whole thing even more meaningful than it already was to us.
It was absolutely amazing to rock up at 11:30pm and see 26 other keen souls ready to do their part for the event. We had varying age levels from 8 years old to over 50 and everyone crushed it with the help of the group!
I just want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated, raised money or recruited more people to the event and of course to Tamisha and Anne for driving the support vehicles for 4+ hours, it wouldn’t have happened without everyones help and you are all legends. For a small community you have shown such great passion for an outstanding cause and I was proud to be a part of it!
At current count we have raised just over $1400 and with the campaign running for another week I think we should definitely hit the $1500 mark.

Quote of the Week –
This quote basically sums up the reason that we started The Pride Active over a year ago
“Pay attention to the things you are naturally drawn to. They are often connected to your path, passion, and purpose in life. Have the courage to follow them.”
Book/ Audio Book/ Podcast –
A short and sweet one this week
Body Mind Mastery: Creating success in sport and life by Dan Millman
Its a nice short 3 hours on Audible and is a very actionable book on anyone seeking a better understanding of mental and physical harmony in active pursuits or everyday life.
P.A.W (Pride Active Workout)–
This week we decided on a 3 person team workout for our P.A.W
4RFT
60cals Air Bike (20 each)
30 Hang Squat Cleans (10 each)
3 70kg sled pushes (1 each)

Coming Up –
I’ve got my eye on a few events coming up and the nearest one will probably be the BoxFit Champs which is another online functional fitness comp similar to the Open. I believe it’s 7 weeks away now so I’m hoping to really get some work in on my intensity leading up to it.
Later in the year I think I will have a crack at Australia’s first SAS selection series event, The FANDANCE race. It’s a 24km run with heavy weighted backpacks organised by a host of ex special forces soldiers from around the globe. It looks extremely tough so I knew it was one to get under the belt.
Here is the links to both events:

That’s it for another week everyone so I hope your training is going well or if you’re looking into starting something new then I hope you have great experience!
