Make them thirsty

“You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make them drink. No, but you can make them thirsty.”

You may have heard the above quite a few times before. Maybe with out the last sentence. This was/ is something that I struggle with a lot.

Why can’t I change someone?

Because no matter how pure or noble I believe my pursuits are, I have no right to try and force change on someone. It’s not my job and I have plenty to focus on with my own faults before I tell someone else what to do.

In saying that, if I spend time around you then you better expect to be challenged and nudged to rise.

That’s my compromise. That’s the best middle ground I can find at the moment. I still want to see you give your best effort and level up.

So, I’m not leading anyone to water. I’m working hard on myself and having good conversations so that my pursuit might inspire that same pursuit in others.

My goal is to make you thirsty so you can lead your own inspired self to the river.

Pursue your potential
